Bungie Admits Rigged XP

Bungie Changes Destiny 2 XP System After Players Discover It Was Rigged

Bungie has announced that it’s changing how Destiny 2 handles experience points. The move comes in response to players who have been raising questions about it over recent days, with a growing consensus that the system was rigged. […]

Last weekend, Destiny 2 had its first “Clarion Call” event, which gave bonus XP to players when they were joined by at least one of their clanmates. In the wake of that event, some players noticed that the longer they played, the slower they’d progress, despite the fact that they were repeating the same activities. The first time a player would earn 5,000 XP, they’d see a large chunk of their XP bar fill. The second or third (or fifteenth) time they earned the same number of XP, the bar would get a much smaller chunk.

damn man, just keeps getting better and better… i played the shit outta Destiny 2 when it came out, but after a month or so it just started to feel like there was less and less to do… less reason to hop online, other than maybe firing it up once a week to do some of the objectives after the weekly reset every tuesday — and that’s only to help level up a character… if you’ve already got your Titan/Warlock/Hunter all leveled up as far as they’ll go, then there’s no reason to even do that.

hell, i’m not even sure if the upcoming DLC is worth it.

PS. i probably would’ve picked-up Battlefront II if i saw it on sale for $30, but no such luck… damnit.

  1. I bought both Destiny II and Battlefront II on PC. I am vastly disappointed with both. :( Friend talked me into D2 even though I wasnt crazy about the first one. It’s a nice, polished game, but boring and repetitive. Travel to far part of map, walk into room/field, shoot bunch of genric enemies to stop some bad thing from happening, rinse and repeat. Every mission and quest feels too the same. Multiplayer is meh.

BFII, fantastic camapaign but way too short. Online is a joke, cards make matches unbalanced and dirty, every other match has horrific lag. Little amount of maps, lame 24 player count in starfighter (should have been 64 players). It feels like a very unfinished, unbalanced game with a limited amount of maps/gamemodes. The LEAST of its problems are the lootboxes at this point. I regret buying either games.
