Jihad in America?

Self-styled jihadist admits to killing 4 people, calls it ‘vengeance’ for U.S. actions in Mideast

SEATTLE — A man accused of shooting to death two men in Seattle on June 1 and a man in New Jersey later that month was charged Wednesday with gunning down a 30-year-old in the Skyway area in April — all, he allegedly told police, as “vengeance” for U.S. actions in the Mideast.

Ali Muhammad Brown, 40, is quoted in charging documents as saying that he they were “just kills” and that he was “just doing my small part” as a self-styled jihadist.

He was charged Wednesday with aggravated first-degree murder by the King County Prosecutor’s Office for the slaying of Leroy Henderson, 30 in the unincorporated King County area of Skyway on the night of April 27.

Henderson had been shot 10 times in the back as he was walking home.

Brown had earlier been charged with aggravated first-degree murder for the slayings of Ahmed Said and Dwone Anderson-Young in Seattle’s Leschi neighborhood on June 1. He is also accused of killing a man, Brendan Tevlin, in the Newark, N.J., area on June 25, after he had fled Seattle.

All four were killed with a 9mm handgun.

damn… i guess this one’s been completely overshadowed by ferguson and the beheading of James Foley by ISIS, otherwise i’m not sure why this isn’t all over the news over here.

Fanning Ferguson

time for that friday morning ritual, so let’s see what victor hanson has to say this week — Fanning the Flames in Ferguson

Violence following the recent fatal shooting of an unarmed robbery suspect in Ferguson, Mo, has tragically followed a predictable script.

On average, more than 6,000 African Americans are killed by gun violence each year. That startling figure is nearly equal to all of the U.S. combat fatalities incurred in both Afghanistan and Iraq over some 13 years. African Americans are the victims in about half of the homicides in America each year despite the fact that blacks represent only about 13 percent of the U.S. population.

One would think that these alarming statistics would provoke the sort of protests that we’ve seen in Ferguson, but that is not the case. Nor does racial unrest automatically follow cases in which white police officers fatally shoot black criminal suspects. Only a small handful of such instances trigger outrage in the black community.
Instead, the sort of civil unrest we’re seeing in Ferguson is most likely to be ignited by the infrequent and disparate cases in which someone white, whether a police officer or not, fatally shoots an unarmed African American.

Controversy, for example, arose over George Zimmerman’s fatal shooting of unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin in Florida. Now, small-town Ferguson is in an uproar over a police officer’s fatal shooting of unarmed 18-year-old Michael Brown.

There is a second theme in such cases. The media almost invariably distort the facts, sometimes deliberately seeking to incite tensions. In the Trayvon Martin case, journalists published photos of Martin as a diminutive adolescent, not more recent pictures of Martin as a 17-year-old who was much taller than Zimmerman.

Zimmerman was referred to by the New York Times as a “white Hispanic” (a term not usually accorded those of mixed ancestry). ABC News was accused of airing footage of Zimmerman shortly after his encounter with Martin that concealed the severity of Zimmerman’s head injuries. NBC edited a recording of Zimmerman’s 911 call to police in a way that suggested Zimmerman was a racist. CNN speculated that Zimmerman may have used the racial slur “coon” during his 911 call.

In the Brown case, the media has rushed to portray the victim as a “gentle giant” who was almost certainly gunned down by a racist, trigger-happy cop. Only days later it was reported that just minutes before his death, the 6-foot-4, 292-pound Brown had allegedly committed a strong-armed robbery, bullying and assaulting a store owner half his size — and had been almost immediately been stopped not far away for walking down the middle of the road.

A third theme is the entrance of Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and the New Black Panther Party. Almost immediately, they incite tensions by issuing wild, unfounded charges. Jackson said of the Martin shooting that “targeting, arresting, convicting blacks and ultimately killing us is big business.” Jackson just called the Brown shooting a “state execution.” Sharpton called the legal acquittal of Zimmerman an “atrocity.” In the Zimmerman case, the New Black Panther Party put a bounty on his head, and in Missouri it called for violence against the police.

as always, a good read over some morning coffee… what kinda cracked me up was reading something yesterday about how both russia and china released statements about ferguson, and how the media over there is wildly distorting it out of proportion… and then some asshat in egypt calling for “restraint”, then turning around and finding four guys beheaded in egypt the same day — unreal, mang.

The SF SIdeshow

Sideshows Leave Cool People Torn

‘Sideshows’ are becoming a popular spectacle in San Francisco. They involve doing crazy shit with your car in cool locations like the Golden Gate Bridge. To pull off a Sideshow you need to have a bunch of your boys flanking you so they can slow down and block traffic while you take a hit of crank and then do donuts in your early model Camaro.

On one hand this is cool for the public because they get to see some car tricks up close for free. On the other hand I hope they sick the Ferguson PD on these assholes because traffic in San Francisco has already slowed down to an acid flashback time warp. Let alone the potential to injure pedestrians or god forbid dent your bumper, because I am guessing these guys insurance situations are sketchy. If you happen to get caught in a Sideshow you should record the license plate number of the car. Don’t let them see you writing it down so you don’t get followed home where they’ll notice your flatscreen TV and pretty mouth. Try and memorize it, which will be hard because you’ll be distracted by the cool doughnuts and brodies. I forgot how awesome those are.

the traffic is aleady so effin bad around the DC area, if people started to do that shit around here and fucked up traffic even more… might start to look like ferguson around here, mang.

Obama Plays Golf After Beheading News

Obama returns to golf green after talking to media about journalist’s ISIS execution

President Obama put his own spin on the oft-quoted advice of predecessor Teddy Roosevelt: speak strongly and carry a nine iron.

The vacationing commander-in-chief returned to the golf course Wednesday after calling for justice in the brutal killing of an American journalist by ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) terrorists.

Obama also detailed his conversation with the parents of slain hostage James Foley, 40, whose beheading was videotaped and posted on the Internet by his killers.

The president zipped quickly from a local school to a Martha’s Vineyard golf course after his 12:45 p.m. media session. Obama delivered a short statement and took no questions from the assembled media.

i honestly don’t know why anyone would be surprised… i mean, c’mon this is obama we’re talking about… i just love how he came out and really put a nice firm foot down about this crazy shit:

“One thing we can all agree on is that a group like ISIL has no place in the 21st century.”

umm, yeah… i’m sure these islamic thugs are looking up and going “oh shit” right about now… geeesh… and didn’t he say something really damn similar when Putin invaded the ukraine a few months back? uh huh…

Sony: No Idea Why PS4 Is Doing Well

Sony Doesn’t Know Why The PS4 Is Doing Well

Earlier this month, Sony announced that it has already sold 10 million units of its PlayStation 4 game console since its launch last November, a record-setting figure for the company’s hardware. In an interview with Eurogamer published yesterday, Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios President Shuhei Yoshida admitted that the company doesn’t really know why its console is doing so well in today’s gaming market.

That sounds like a good problem to have. When sales are high, something is working, so why rock the boat, right?

But as Yoshida points out in the interview, not knowing why people are buying its console now could have serious implications on Sony’s strategy going forward. If it turns out that all of the “core” gamers – those who consistently buy the latest releases in series like Call of Duty and Grand Theft Auto — coincidentally decided to all buy their preferred next-gen console at once, then it’s hard to predict where sales will go from here. [...]

It’s important to note that I’m not talking about why the PlayStation 4 is doing well compared to the Xbox One and Wii U. It had some pretty significant advantages over those consoles in its first year: the Xbox One cost $100 more at launch and came with the kind-of-creepy Kinect camera, and Microsoft had trouble explaining some of its decisions regarding DRM to gamers following its announcement at E3 2013; the Wii U is underpowered and doesn’t get many of the third-party games that come out on the PlayStation and Xbox.

i just got a PS4 the other day, and have been wondering the same thing… why is the PS4 seemingly doing so well? what are 10 million gamers doing with it? what are they playing? because as far as i can tell, it doesn’t have very many games at all… feel like i’m missing something here.

Happy Hump Day

i do believe it’s high time to sit back for a moment, relax, and enjoy some of that beauitfoo booty.

US Journalist Beheaded by ISIS

Executioner ‘with a British accent’ beheads US journalist in the name of ISIS

Graphic footage of the execution appeared in a video titled ‘A message to the US’, in which an apparently coerced Foley, 40, recites a pre-prepared script presumably given to him by his captors which he delivers unflinchingly to the camera.

Kidnapped in Syria on Thanksgiving 2012 while working for the GlobalPost agency, Foley brands the US government his real killers and denounces the country of his birth, while his soon-to-be murderer stands over him dressed in black robes and armed with a small knife and gun.

Dressed in an orange jumpsuit, Foley’s voice is strong, but he often pauses to take deep breaths and appears to struggle at times to swallow as he battles against fear.

The executioner, who speaks directly to the camera in what appears to be a British accent, then blames President Barack Obama for Foley’s death before he brutally beheads the respected reporter in front of the camera.

In a chilling warning at the end of the grisly film, the executioner parades another American journalist, Steven Joel Sotloff, who went missing in August 2013, saying: ‘The life of this American citizen, Obama, depends on your next decision.’

oh man, that’s just fucking horrible… psychopathic terrorist assholes… i know obama doesn’t want to go back in, but g’damn dude… if it were me, i would’ve sent in the planes, drones, and special ops months ago with one mission — decimate ISIS, period.

shit, i still vividly remember watching that beheading video of daniel pearl… something i almost wish i hadn’t, because it’s forever burned into my memory now.

Titty Tuesday

so many great pairs of titties in the world, so little time…

at the very least, i think it’s both good and healthy to take a moment to ponder on the boobies.

funny, read something the other day saying that men spend at least a good year of their lives looking at boobs — and yeah, i totally believe it.
