Titty Tuesday

today’s the first official day of autumn, which is as good a reason as any to take a moment to appreciate the fact that we’re surrounded by beautifoo women and their chesticles.

i actually broke out the hoodie this morning for the first time in six months…

i love hoodie weather.

Site of the Day

i just downloaded and installed the riffsy GIF keyboard on my iphone, and have to say… i can see why a lot of people are going a bit nutty over it.

it really is pretty damn cool, though i’m not sure i’d be using it all the time… that being said, i love dropping in a funny GIF over those damn emoji’s.

dunno why, just find those emoji’s so damn annoying.

Apple Watch GUI PSD

might be a little for this apple watch psd, but what the hell — certainly doesn’t hurt to maybe start playing around with it a bit if you already have an app out there in the wild.

kinda dig looking through the various watch UI’s.

got to checkout the Moto 360 at best buy this past weekend for a few minutes, and i have to say that i’m really liking it a lot… too bad it’s really android only, but as far as these new “smart” watches go, i’m digging it — if i had an android phone, i’d probably get one… or more likely just wait for the next version of it since i’m sure they’re still working out all the kinks with these things.

also held the new iPhone 6+ in my hands, and i think my first words were “holy shit this is huge!”

feel like the pictures of it doesn’t do it justice, mang.

iPhone 6 Most Durable Yet?

iPhone 6 Is the Most Durable iPhone Yet, Says Insurer

funny, i see a headline about how the new iphone 6 is the most “durable” one yet… then turn around and see a tweet about it getting bent — which is exactly what i kind of fear about these larger phones being in my front pocket.

guess time will tell, and that tweeted photo might just be a fluke.

everything on the internet isn’t pure truth, afterall.

4CHAN Threatens Emma Watson

4chan users threaten Emma Watson with nude photo leak over UN speech on gender equality

This weekend, actress Emma Watson gave a moving speech about gender equality to the UN. She spoke on behalf of the HeForShe campaign about what men can do to help it along, and–unsurprisingly–the speech went viral.

“The more I have spoken about feminism, the more I have realized that fighting for women’s rights has too often become synonymous with ‘man-hating.’ If there is one thing I know for certain, it is that this has to stop. For the record, feminism, by definition, is ‘the belief that men and women should have equal rights and opportunities. It is the theory of the political, economic, and social equality of the sexes.’”

If we stop defining each other by what we are not and start defining ourselves by what we are — we can all be freer and this is what HeForShe is about. It’s about freedom. I want men to take up this mantle.”

Reasonable enough! And quite mild, actually. However, there were some out there for whom this was all too much. Members of 4chan’s b board lost their very minds over this, and embarked on a campaign against Watson almost immediately.

is it just me, or has it been a pretty strange week so far?

It’s Gotham, Tonight

to be honest, at first i thought the whole idea behind a new “gotham” tv show to be cool but the commercial for the show looked kinda dumb to me.

a couple months have since flown by, and now i’m actually looking forward to it… well, at least enought to give it a try.

don’t really care too much about either the Jets or Bears, who play tonight, so figure i’ll get home after work and tune in.

anybody else looking forward to it?

Scarlett Johansson Hacked, Again!

Scarlett Johansson Naked Pics HACKED: New Nude Photos Of Actress Leak Online

haven’t seen the photos or anything, but heard a crapload of people tweet’n yesterday about the lastest celeb nude photo hacking…

Scarlett Johansson’s nude pictures have apparently been hacked — again.

On Sunday, allegedly new naked photos of the actress surfaced online, showing her posing topless as well as baring her butt.

i’m a fan of scarjo, and to be honest, i kinda prefer not to see her all naked (again) — she’s pretty enough as is, and i’d rather keep something to the imagination with some of these hot celebrity chicks.

p.s. did just read a tweet with some guy saying that Hope Solo’s crotch looks like a half-eaten salami sandwich — g’damn.

StackOverflow Code Snippets

Introducing Runnable JavaScript, CSS, and HTML Code Snippets

On Stack Overflow and our other code-related sites, creating a minimal, complete, and verifiable example is the best way to get an answer to your question. We’ve always loved JSFiddle and sites like it because they let both askers and answerers reference runnable, working code that demonstrates their problem or solution.

Unfortunately, the use of these external sites introduces a few problems:

  1. If the link breaks, the post becomes worthless.
  2. If the code isn’t embedded in the page, visitors are forced to go elsewhere to get the full content of the question or answer.
  3. Also, because the code isn’t a part of our post Markdown, changes to it don’t show up in the revision history.

The community voiced similar concerns around external sites, which eventually led us to block posts that contain links to JSFiddle and similar sites without a corresponding code block. This is an unnecessary burden for both askers and answerers.

So we’ve created our own way to embed runnable JavaScript, CSS, and HTML code blocks right in the body of a post. As of today, we’re launching “Stack Snippets,” a fully integrated feature available on Stack Overflow and any other code-related Stack Exchange sites.

i’ve been a big fan of Stack Overflow for years, and i can’t even count how many times i’ve found answers on the site that has helped me out… totally missed this one, but figure it’s definitely worth re-blogging since it really is pretty spiffy for them to include something like this instead of everybody showing some code in jsfiddle then linking to it.

nicely done.

10 Million iPhone 6 Sold, First Weekend

Apple Sells 10 Million New iPhones in First Weekend

Early sales of Apple’s new iPhones have lived up to high expectations.

The company on Monday said it sold more than 10 million of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus models in the first three days they were available in stores. That is higher than the nine million new iPhones it sold last year in their first weekend on sale.

The phones’ larger screens — 4.7 diagonal inches for the 6 and 5.5 for the 6 Plus — are a considerable jump from the 4-inch screens of earlier iPhones.

The iPhone sales were on the upper end of financial analysts’ expectations, which ranged from 6.5 million to the “low teens” of millions of sales.

The strong sales mirror growing consumer demand for smartphones with bigger screens. IDC, a research firm, estimated that at least 20 percent of all smartphones shipped last year in China, the largest smartphone market in the world, were five inches or larger. It also predicted that manufacturers this year would ship more “phablets,” or smartphones with screens measuring at least 5.5 diagonal inches, than laptops.

that’s pretty incredible… what i’m wondering — are all those millions of people waiting for their new iphones to show up, or did they all just wait in line at the nearest apple store? because i dropped by a local AT&T store last week and pre-ordered mine, but was told i’d be waiting at least 3-4 weeks.

ummm… so, what the fuck?

Finally an unbiased comparison between the new iPhone and the latest Samsung galaxy…

Seahawks Win, Again.

Seahawks shake off Broncos’ stunning rally to win in OT

What happened: The Broncos erased a 14-point deficit in the fourth quarter, with QB Peyton Manning throwing a 26-yard TD pass to TE Jacob Tamme up the sideline and the tying two-point conversion to WR Demaryius Thomas with 18 seconds to go in regulation. But the Seahawks won the toss in overtime and marched 80 yards in 13 plays for the winning score – a 6-yard TD plunge by RB Marshawn Lynch 5 minutes, 46 seconds into OT.

What we’ll be talking about: This was the fight to the finish everyone expected in Super Bowl XLVIII – other than the sloppiness that preceded it. The Broncos’ offense struggled most of the day, but the revamped defense made multiple plays to give them a chance: a safety on Lynch, and an interception by CB Chris Harris that set up Denver’s first touchdown. The Seahawks didn’t flinch, though. And Lynch, who’d been bottled up much of the day, was at his best when it counted, gaining 19 yards on three carries in the extra period. Another rematch in Arizona in February doesn’t sound so bad.

daaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn!!!

even though we lost the game in OT (fuck), it was still one helluva game and i think my broncos can walk away with their heads held high… after the super bowl last year — still find it hard to talk about — and then playing the seahawks at home, one of the toughest damn places to play in all of sports if you ask me… they did pretty damn good, and that 4th quarter rally to tie it up at the end was a thing of beauty.

…if only we could’ve at least kept them to a fieldgoal there at the very end in OT… damnit… oh well.

helluva game.

Nude Celebrity Photo Hack, Part Two

Another Batch of Hacked Nude Celebrity Photos Leaked Online

A second batch of nude celebrity photos, seemingly obtained by hackers, were leaked online Saturday only weeks after an earlier release targeting nearly 100 stars prompted a federal investigation.

The Independent reports that celebrities like Vanessa Hudgens, Avril Lavigne, Kim Kardashian, Aubrey Plaza, Mary-Kate Olsen and Hope Solo were among those whose private photos were published on the online discussion board site 4chan.

This time the site’s administrators removed the photos as part of a new policy put in place following the initial leaks, though by then the photos had been widely re-circulated on other platforms.

The FBI has been investigating the earlier hacks, which Apple described as “a very targeted attack” on individual accounts that did not suggest the security of its iCloud system had been compromised.

daaaaaamn… i’ve been cook’n, drinking, and watching football all day.. just happened to pick up my phone to check on some sports news, and saw all this noise on twitter about another celebrity nude hacking — can’t help but wonder, is all of this legit or is all of this some part of a weird celeb PR thing? i tend to believe in the former, and can’t blame these ladies for calling up their lawyers.

then again, if you take nude photos of yourself and have it sync’n to the iCloud, should you really be expecting 100% privacy? common sense would be to not upload them to the fucking cloud.

…but what do i know.

The Apple Line In London, Today

the line at the Regent Street apple store in london is simply ridiculous!

we’re all used to seeing and hearing about the crazy lines outside of apple stores when new iphones/ipads are released… but it never ceases to amaze me.

glad i just went ahead and pre-ordered my iphone 6, even if i have a wait a few weeks for it to show up at my door… there’s simply no way in hell that i’d wait in one of these lines for my phone.

The Jihadi Logic

is it just me or did this week literally fly by? almost can’t believe it’s already friday morning… but alas, it is, so here’s the lastest from the venerable krauthammer — The Jihadi Logic

What was the Islamic State thinking? We know it is sophisticated in its use of modern media. But what was the logic of propagating to the world videos of its beheadings of two Americans (and subsequently a Briton) — sure to inflame public opinion?

There are two possible explanations. One is that these terrorists are more depraved and less savvy than we think. They so glory in blood that they could not resist making an international spectacle of their savagery and did not quite fathom how such a brazen, contemptuous slaughter of Americans would radically alter public opinion and risk bringing down upon them the furies of the U.S. Air Force.

The second theory is that they were fully aware of the inevitable consequence of their broadcast beheadings — and they intended the outcome. It was an easily sprung trap to provoke America into entering the Mesopotamian war.

Why?

Because they’re sure we will lose. Not immediately and not militarily. They know we always win the battles, but they are convinced that, as war drags on, we lose heart and go home.

They count on Barack Obama’s quitting the Iraq/Syria campaign just as he quit Iraq and Libya in 2011 and is in the process of leaving Afghanistan now. And this goes beyond Obama. They see a post-9/11 pattern: America experiences shock and outrage and demands action. Then, seeing no quick resolution, it tires and seeks out leaders who will order the retreat. In Obama, they found the quintessential such leader.

As for the short run, the Islamic State knows it will be pounded from the air. But it deems that price worth paying, given its gains in propaganda and prestige — translated into renown and recruiting — from these public executions.

Understanding this requires adjusting our thinking. A common mantra is that American cruelty — Abu Ghraib, Guantanamo, “torture,” the Iraq War itself — is the great jihadist recruiting tool. But leaving Iraq, closing Abu Ghraib, and prohibiting “enhanced interrogation” has had zero effect on recruiting. In fact, jihadi cadres from Mali to Mosul have only swelled during Obama’s outstretched-hand presidency.

damn good read for this fine autumn-feeling morning… especially over a McD’s iced-coffee, which i’ve been getting slightly addicted to of late.

Where Is Obama’s ‘Broad Coalition’?
